Living in your home

As a homeowner, you're responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, including wear and tear. We're here to assist with any significant issues.

Make it your own

Paint the walls, change the carpet, put up your favourite pictures and furnish it to your own personal taste

It’s up to you now because it’s your home.

Covering costs when things go wrong

Because it’s your place, you’re responsible for covering the cost of day to day maintenance and wear and tear. So, if a light bulb needs replacing or you want new carpets then it will be up to you to cover those costs.

Every home we buy is covered by buildings insurance to cover major building related issues, so if there was a flood or fire the damage would be covered.

Exceptional maintenance which is not covered by insurance, for example if the boiler needs to be replaced, would be split proportionally. So if you owned 10% of the home you would pay 10% of the cost of replacing the boiler.

Major building work

We only buy homes that don’t require any structural work or major modernisation.

You can choose to redo the kitchen or bathroom if you like, but if you're thinking about tearing down walls or extending, you'll need to wait until you've bought us out and the house is completely yours.
